Harvey Osorio
U13 Coach

Harvey has had many leadership positions in the Manitoba soccer landscape over the last 20 years.

As player, manager, coach or team owner Harvey has shown great dedication to the growth and development of talent. The love of the sport is at the core of his drive to share his passion with Manitoba’s youth.  

The coaching skills that have been developed over the last 15 years have been instrumental in being able to motivate and create enthusiasm throughout multiple age groups and skill levels.

 
John Perry
U7/U8 Head Coach

John has had many opportunities to develop his coaching abilities. He has been an assistant coach for indoor and outdoor for 3 years. 6 years of Head Coaching of Churchill High School Varsity Team and has been apart of the AKSA Family for 3 years, as a part of our U7/8 coaching staff.

John is a former North American Indoor Soccer Champion representing Northwestern Ontario and was apart of the Lakehead Express Competitive Programs.

John hopes to bring his knowledge of the game to the kids and provide them with opportunities to learn the fundamentals importance of teamwork and most importantly fun!

 
Mark Dawybida
U10 Head Coach

Mark began his coaching career as an assistant coach to his father at the age of 12. Mark brings over 25 years of hockey coaching experience from the Community Center to AAA levels. Mark attended the faculty of Physical Education at the University of Manitoba and has continued his community-based coaching of various ages and sports over the years.

Mark strives to generate a work ethic and a desire to learn the game in AKSA athletes. He is dedicated to learning the game and believes in teaching the fundamentals of the sport to his players in hopes of these key attributes spill over into their daily lives as they grow and develop through their formative years.

 
Derek Bogdan
U10 Head Coach

Derek has been playing soccer for over 20 years beginning with local communities, North West, high school and eventually various senior high level teams in Winnipeg. In addition he has also assisted in managing various senior teams. Derek is a former provincial high school champion.

Derek is looking forward to broadening his coaching abilities & hopes to bring his knowledge, experience and love for the beautiful game to AKSA athletes.

 
Harim (Manny) DePaz
U12 Head Coach

Manny's career began in the early 90’s with over 20 years of soccer experience. Playing at a high level soccer in Manitoba with various soccer teams and coaching in various communities.

Six years ago Manny saw the need for high level coaching in youth soccer and decided to become a coach to help develop their skills and potential. As a coach Manny gains a lot of satisfaction to see young players push themselves to their limits and work hard to achieve their dreams and goals, and the best part is being apart of the process.

Coach Manny is grateful to be apart of the AKSA Family and hopes to continue to help our Academy grow. 

 
Simon Wormenor
U13 Head Coach, C-License

Simon played amateur soccer in Ghana for over 10 years. He also played both non-competitive and competitive soccer in Manitoba for over 8 years. He coached Otterburne Flames Under 18 for 2000 & 2001 in Otterburne, Manitoba.

During the same time period, he coached Providence University College women’s team. He has now been coaching development soccer teams for the past 8 years.

Simon currently holds a CSA Provincial C coaching license.

Because of his love and passion for the game of soccer, he decided to give back to Manitoba communities. “What can I give to make someone else’s life better?” One way is soccer.

 
Sergio Molina
Technical Assistant, C-License

Sergio has been playing soccer at a very young age. In his youth, Sergio was a valued member of the Manitoba Provincial team, as well as being selected to the National Developmental Center and the Vancouver Whitecaps Prospects Academy.

Sergio has been coaching for the past three years helping young players progress to their best abilities. He currently holds a CSA C-Licensece and is looking forward to furthering high coaching abilities.

Sergio hopes to bring his knowledge and experience to our AKSA athletes.   

 
Jason Green
U14 Head Coach

Jason has played goalie consistently from the age of 12 in Jamaica for primary, high school, and various Men's clubs in his Parish/Province respectively. Here in Winnipeg, Jason has played for Maples Juventus and Lions Fc for a combination of 12 years.

With the passion and love for the game, Jason joined the volunteer coaching staff at Maples Community Center and Garden City Community Center, eventually progressing to coaching competitively at FC North West. During his time at FCNW he was involved in leading teams to victory at local tournaments as well as tournaments in Fargo, North Dakota.
